I recommend reading Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. This classic, wilderness survival tale follows thirteen-year-old Brian as he is lost deep the Canadian wilderness alone. It is perfect for young children ages 8 to 12.
I recommend reading The Twits by Roald Dahl. This silly tale is about two mean, ugly, and dumb twits as they fight with each other and a family of monkeys. It is the perfect book for children ages 7 to 10.
I found several exciting new books on Kickstarter in August 2017. These include We Live in an Amazing Place, The Girl Who Kept Night In Her Closet, Summer in Orcus, and Annabelle & Aiden: Worlds Within Us. I'm proudly supporting all of these campaigns and encourage you to support them too!
Which is better? The City of Ember book or movie? Both are about two teens trying to escape from a dying city before it is enveloped in darkness forever. Both are excellent, but which is better?
I recommend reading The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau. It's the story of two kids solving the mystery of how to escape their dying city. It is a wonderful book for everyone ages 8 and older.
I recommend reading 1984 by George Orwell. It is the story of a forbidden love affair in a distopian world where the government is always watching you. This thought provoking book is a must read for children ages 14 and up.
